This summer, when we were traveling, we almost threw our laundry in the trash. Why? Because we always keep it in a plastic bag and one day someone tied the bag just like a garbage bag to protect from rain. We realised that this system is not a good system so I sewed a couple of travel laundry bags to keep things in order.
A quick job, but I had to use the straight stitch plate on the sewing machine to keep the machine from eating this thin fabric!
This was the last piece from a 5m roll from Ikea (I think) that I’ve had for 10-15 years or so. It has come to good use, and now that we’re trying to go (at least partly) plastic free, I wonder what to use next time the need of this thin cotton presents itself!
